CES – Jan 7-10 – Las Vegas

We assume fancy people call it the Consumer Electronics Show while they lather their frankfurters with Grey Poupon, but it’s just CES. Real tech companies (not adtech – real tech) demonstrate the gadgets of the future. Brands come to see the gadgets. Agencies come to see the brands. Publishers come to see the brands and the agencies. AdTech swarms them all. It’s a bizarre annual mating ritual centered around a bar with a chandelier.

Wouldn’t miss it. Rob will be there. No public plans to speak of, but that might change.

We haven’t seen a CES calendar of events published anywhere. We will share when we find one. In the meantime, let us know what you have scheduled and we’ll hype it up.

IAB ALM – Jan 26-28 – Palm Springs, CA

As close to a must-attend event as there is in the industry. Business happens at IAB ALM.

Rob is moderating a panel on Tuesday: Bridging the Gaps: Achieving Interoperability in a Fragmented Ecosystem.

Too many heavy hitters speaking to list, but we’ll call out some people near/dear to our heart:

  • Vlad from Optable talking about “Navigating Multi-State Privacy Compliance.”
  • JR (Dotdash) and Joy Robbins (NYT) on the same panel? Yes, please.

Beeler.Tech in-person and virtual going-ons

We aren’t being cagey if we don’t provide all the details you would need to join. That’s because a lot of our smaller events are for publishers, partners, or invitation-only. We share to remind our invitees, and in case you’ve scheduled something at the same time, you know where everyone went. 😎 We don’t mind you asking, but sometimes you’ll get a no.
